Cooper closed his eyes, drew in a deep breath, and searched the man's body, finding a detailed map of Legion territory, along with ammo and currency. He checked the other bodies before whistling for the caravan to continue. Bockscar floated over to him, “Nice shooting, sir! What an act of bravery and valor!”

Cooper didn't reply, but just walked up the ridge towards the waypoint his looted map indicated would keep him on the path towards Los. When they reached the top, he looked back over the carnage. He saw some radroaches were already crawling out of the cracks between the rocks to scavenge on the corpses. It was likely the bodies would be gone before long, disappeared as if they'd never been there. He reached into his pocket and felt the medallion that Two-Bears had taken from Cooper's first kill. His father had been right, the Wasteland belonged to the killers, but he had been wrong about one thing:
